Registration on Your Own Website

Players register, book and pay without leaving your site. Turn on the widget, match your colors, and paste one piece of code.

Step 1

Before you start

What you need

The Academy plan:The website widget is part of the Academy plan. Academy programs need a plan with the Academy, and lessons need a plan with online lesson booking.
A public club:A private club's widget shows “Online registration is paused”. Make the club public in Settings → Privacy first.
Payouts, for anything paid:Paid registrations and lessons need club payouts set up under Settings → Payments. Free ones work without them.
The right role:Club owners and club admins can set up the widget. Plan, privacy and payouts settings belong to the owner.
Step 2

Turn it on and choose what to show

On nextoncourt.com

  1. 1Open your club and go to Settings → Website widget.
  2. 2Under Status, turn on Show the widget on my website.
  3. 3Under What to show, pick any of Events, Leagues, Academy and Lessons. Each one shows how many are open for registration right now.
  4. 4Fix anything listed under What to fix. Each item has a button that takes you to the setting.

Switching it off

Turn off Show the widget on my website and your site shows “Online registration is paused” instead. Players never see why, and the code on your site keeps working when you turn it back on.

Step 3

Make it look like your site

How it appears

Match my site:Once the widget has loaded on your website, Use your website's look fills in your site's colors and the closest fonts. Check the preview, then save.
Colors:Accent (buttons and highlights), a second color for badges and the spots meter, background and text. The accent starts from your email branding color.
Light or dark:Light, dark, or follow the visitor's device, with your own dark background and text colors.
Fonts:Heading and body fonts from a dozen faces, including Oswald, Inter, Montserrat, Poppins, Barlow Condensed, Lora and Playfair Display. NextOnCourt serves them, so your site doesn't load anything new.
Shape:Square, soft or round corners; solid or outline buttons, shaped to match the corners or as pills; comfortable or compact spacing.
Content:Your club name and logo at the top (turn it off if your page already has a heading), an intro line, your own button wording such as Sign up, cover photos, and how many spots are left.

Preview before you save

The preview next to the settings is the real widget. Switch it between a list, a program and the payment step, at phone or desktop width. If a color makes text hard to read, the page warns you.

Step 4

Choose which coaches take bookings

The Coaches list

  1. 1In Website widget, scroll to Coaches. Every coach at your club is listed with their status.
  2. 2Showing means players can book them from your site. Use the switch to hide a coach; they show as Hidden by you.
  3. 3Any other status says what that coach still needs. They fix it themselves, in the NextOnCourt app (Coach hub → Booking rules) or on the web (Academy → Coaching → Booking rules).

What each status means

Not opted in:The coach hasn't turned on “Show me on the club's website booking” in their booking rules.
No weekly hours:They need to set the hours they take lessons.
No prices:They need a price for at least one lesson length.
Payouts not set up:Set up club payouts so paid lessons can be booked.
Not on your plan:Your plan doesn't include online lesson booking.

Each coach sets their own rules

In their booking rules, a coach chooses whether they approve each request or confirm instantly, how much notice they need, how far ahead players can book, and the gap between lessons. The rules apply in the app and on your website alike.

Step 5

Add it to your website

Copy the code

  1. 1Under Add it to your site, choose the widget: Everything (a tab for each thing you offer), or just Events, Leagues, Academy or Lessons.
  2. 2Choose how it opens: On the page, or Button (a button that opens it in a window; you choose the button text).
  3. 3Pick your website builder for the steps that fit it, then click Copy next to the code.
  4. 4Not the one who edits your site? Use Email these steps to my web person and send them to whoever does. Their replies come to you.

If nothing shows after you publish

Some builders and plans remove scripts. Use the Simple code instead: it works everywhere but doesn't resize itself, so make its box about 900px tall.

Squarespace

  1. 1In Website widget, pick your builder and copy the code.
  2. 2Open the page where registration should appear and click Edit.
  3. 3Click Add Block (+) where you want it, and choose Code.
  4. 4Paste the code, and make sure "Display Source" is off.
  5. 5Click outside the block, then Save.

Good to know

Squarespace only runs code blocks on plans that allow custom code. If yours doesn’t, use the "Simple" code instead.

Wix

  1. 1In Website widget, pick your builder and copy the Simple code.
  2. 2In the Wix Editor, click Add (+) → Embed Code → Embed HTML.
  3. 3Click Enter Code, choose "Code", and paste the code.
  4. 4Click Update, then drag the box’s bottom edge so it’s tall (about 900px).
  5. 5Publish your site.

Good to know

Wix places custom code in its own frame, so use the "Simple" code here.

WordPress

  1. 1In Website widget, pick your builder and copy the code.
  2. 2Edit the page in the block editor.
  3. 3Add a "Custom HTML" block where registration should appear.
  4. 4Paste the code.
  5. 5Click Update (or Publish).

Good to know

Some WordPress.com plans remove scripts. If nothing shows after publishing, use the "Simple" code instead.

GoDaddy

  1. 1In Website widget, pick your builder and copy the code.
  2. 2In Websites + Marketing, click Edit Website and open the page.
  3. 3Click Add Section, search for "HTML", and add it.
  4. 4Choose "Custom Code" and paste the code.
  5. 5Click Done, then Publish.

Webflow

  1. 1In Website widget, pick your builder and copy the code.
  2. 2Open the page in the Designer.
  3. 3From the Add panel, drag a "Code Embed" element where registration should appear.
  4. 4Paste the code and click Save & Close.
  5. 5Publish your site (custom code doesn’t run in the Designer preview).

No website? Use the link

  1. 1Under No website? Use the link, copy your registration page's link.
  2. 2Link it from a button, a social post or an email, or click Download QR and print it for the front desk.

Check it worked

  1. 1Open the live page on your website once.
  2. 2Back in Website widget, Status shows the site it was last seen on. Until then it says it hasn't been seen on a website yet.
  3. 3Registrations in the last 30 days shows how many came through the widget and in total.

Where it can appear

Optional: add your site's address under Where it can appear to stop other sites copying your code. Leave it empty to allow any website.

Step 6

What players see

Registering from your site

  1. 1They browse what's open and pick an event, league, program or coach, without leaving your site.
  2. 2They enter their email. Someone new to NextOnCourt adds their name and date of birth; someone with an account gets a 6-digit code by email.
  3. 3Parents choose who is playing and can add a child on the spot. Children don't need an email; everything goes to the parent.
  4. 4They pay by card in the same window when there's something to pay. Prices, fees and discount codes work exactly as they do on NextOnCourt.
  5. 5The confirmation email comes with your club's name and email branding, and a link that opens the registration in the NextOnCourt app.

Nothing new to manage

Website registrations land in the same lists, rosters and payouts as everything else on NextOnCourt. They're marked as coming from your website.

Troubleshooting

Quick fixes for the things that most often get in the way.

My site says “Online registration is paused”

The widget is switched off, the club is private, your plan doesn't include it, your site isn't under Where it can appear, or the club's address in the code is wrong. Open Settings → Website widget: Status and What to fix say which. If they look fine, copy the code again and replace what's on your site.

Nothing appears after I publish

Your builder or plan probably removes scripts. Use the Simple code instead. On Webflow, custom code only runs on the published site, not in the Designer preview.

The widget is cut off or has a scrollbar

That's the Simple code, which can't resize itself. Make its box taller (about 900px), or use the regular code if your builder allows scripts.

A coach isn't listed

Check their status under Coaches in Website widget. It says what they still need: opting in, weekly hours, prices, or payouts.

Academy programs don't show

Your plan has to include the Academy, and the Academy tab must be showing on your club page. What to fix has a button for the tab.

Players can't pay

Set up club payouts under Settings → Payments. Free registrations work without them.

frequently asked

Common Questions

Which plan includes the website widget?

The Academy plan. Academy programs and lesson booking inside the widget also need those features on your plan.

Do players need a NextOnCourt account?

No. They register with their name and email, and an account is set up for them in the background. The confirmation email has a link that signs them into the app whenever they want it.

Are card details safe on my website?

Card details are entered inside the NextOnCourt window and processed by Stripe. They never touch your website.

Do fees work the same as on NextOnCourt?

Yes. Prices, platform fees, discount codes and add-ons are exactly the same as registering on NextOnCourt.

Can I put more than one widget on a page?

Yes. Paste each code where you want it; the second and later ones reuse the same script.

Who can change the widget's settings?

The club owner and club admins. Plan, privacy and payouts settings stay with the owner.

Can my web person tell when someone finishes registering?

Yes. The page receives a noc:complete event with what was registered, which they can use for analytics or a thank-you message.
